Волжский автозавод планирует в конце 2007 - начале 2008 года начать производство обновленного поколения внедорожника Lada 4X4 (бывшая "Нива"). Об этом со ссылкой на президента группы "АвтоВАЗ" Владимира Артякова сообщает ПРАЙМ-ТАСС.
По словам Артякова, автомобиль получит модернизированный обвес кузова, а также новую светотехнику. Кроме того, обновленный внедорожник станет заметно качественнее. "Будет симпатичный, красивый автомобиль. И более качественный. Абсолютно другого качества автомобиль", - заявил глава "АвтоВАЗа".
Напомним, что сейчас Lada 4X4 выпускается в двух вариантах кузова - с тремя и пятью дверями, и оснащается четырехцилиндровым бензиновым мотором объемом 1,7 литра. При этом облик автомобиля фактически не менялся уже 30 лет. Первая "Нива" появилась в 1977 году, а обновление, произошедшее в 1993 году, коснулось лишь силового агрегата, интерьера и задней двери этой машины.
