Компания Nissan планирует начать производство серийных гибридных машин и электромобилей не ранее 2050 года. К этому же году в корпорации намерены только снизить у своих автомобилей выбросы углекислого газа на 70 процентов, сообщает британское издание What Car.
Крис Ли (Chris Lee), занимающий в компании пост президента по корпоративной стратегии и планированию, сообщил, что на настоящий момент приоритетными целями являются не разработка экологически чистых машин, а совершенствование двигателей и испытание новых технологий.
Ли уточнил, что Nissan все же исследует гибридные технологии, а также возможности как электрических моторов, так и на биотопливе. Однако сейчас разработка таких машин для корпорации экономически не выгодна.
Первый автомобиль Nissan со сверхэкономичным двигателем, который будет способен расходовать около трех литров топлива на сто километров пути появится в 2010 году. Также в ближайшем будущем начнется выпуск нового вариатора, который на десять процентов эффективнее обычного "автомата".
