Хэтчбек Skoda Fabia нового поколения и седан Honda Civic Hybrid получили оценку в четыре звезды из пяти в серии фронтальных и боковых краш-тестов, проведенных по методике EuroNCAP. Автомобили набрали 32 и 31 балл соответственно из 37 возможных, а такой результат, по заявлению представителей европейской организации, не отличается от показанного моделями предыдущего поколения.
После анализа результатов краш-теста Honda, эксперты отметили, что при фронтальном ударе давление у подушек безопасности со стороны водителя недостаточно – манекен коснулся головой о рулевое колесо. У Fabia такой проблемы в EuroNCAP не обнаружили, однако выяснилось, что "детали приборной панели представляют потенциальную опасность для коленей и бедер передних пассажиров".
За безопасность детей, находящихся в машине, Skoda Fabia набрала только три звезды из пяти, в то время как Honda Civic получила четыре.
За безопасность пешеходов специалисты EuroNCAP выставили "Хонде" три звезды из четырех возможных, а "Шкода" - две. При этом, в сообщении организации отмечается, что бампер Fabia обеспечивает максимальную защиту ног пешеходов, однако капот не способен нужным образом деформироваться, чтобы снизить их травмы.
